It’s on the fourth floor (no elevator) of a building built in 1900. The apartment overlooks the courtyard, thus it’s very quiet.

The area is ideal for shopping. Two supermarkets are within 100 meters (110 yards) and remain open until 10 PM. In rue du Rendez-Vous leading into Place de la Nation, there are many high quality food stores (butchers, bakers, cheese merchants, wine merchants…). Two excellent cake shops (among the best in Paris) are respectively located place de la Nation and rue du Rendez-Vous.
Every Wednesday and Saturday, a big outdoor market offers fruits, vegetables and a variety of other goods on the cours de Vincennes (avenue starting from place de la Nation.)
The Printemps department store is located Cours de Vincennes, 200 meters (220 yards) from the apartment.
