In Ile Saint Louis you can feel as though you are in a small village whilst being in the very heart of Paris.
Baudelaire, Camille Claudel, George Pompidou are amongst those who have chosen this island as their home. You will understand why.
Neighbour to the bigger and busier Ile de la Cité where Notre Dame Cathedral, La Conciergerie, L’Hotel Dieu are situated; Ile Saint Louis named after the King Louis XIII, has smaller but no less impressive architectural monuments, like the Church Saint Louis, where you can listen to classical concerts in its amazing acoustics and enjoy the rehearsal on Thursday’s afternoon for free.
The studio is situated between two traditional restaurants: Nos Ancêtres les Gaulois and La Taverne du Sergent Recruteur.
Home to the delicious brand of ice creams Berthillon the island is usually forgotten by most tourists. Very discrete it doesn’t even have a metro station but there is one close by. It is linked to the mainland by three bridges: Pont (Bridge) Saint Louis connects to the Ile de la Cité taking the pedestrians to the Quai (Quay) de l’Archevêque on the back of Notre-Dame Cathedral. At the left side, la Rive Gauche the two bridges Pont de la Tournelle and Pont Sully strategically takes you to the bohemian Quartier Latin. To the right side la Rive Droit the Pont Louis-Philippe brings you to the Hotel de Ville, Châtelet and Les Halles neighbourhood. From the Pont Marie, you can reach the nearest metro station with the same name. This takes you directly to the heart of the Marais another restless place where you can shop, eat, and drink in most hours of the day and night. Don’t bypass the Places (Square) des Vosges where you can appreciate the architecture of the XVIII century where Victor Hugo and other personalities lived. The Pont Sully crosses the tip of the island, where there is an easy access to the Bastille, with a gas station and a bus stop towards the Opéra, cafes or famous brasseries all around the Place de la Bastille. Otherwise, towards southwest you can arrive at the Institute of the Arab World with its amazing architecture and a little further up the Universities and along the Quai de la Tournelle you will find Jardin des Plantes and the Natural History Museum |

| No one meet me at apartment which was very disappointing. The owner emailed me and said he would be away but I asked if someone could meet me, maybe cleaners, to show me around and help me in as I am a 66 year old lady. I had directions to get into apartment, but couldnot work out how to open the front door so had to ring Alain for more help which he gave me and I was ableto get in.

| We loved the apartment and the locality. However we would suggest that apartment owners locate and leave the phone number of a Taxi company who will answer calls from English speaking visitors. We spent so much valuable time trying to get through to Taxi companies. In the end, we wnet down to the Hotel down the street and the girls there, very kindly, ordered us taxis when we needed them.

| Small but charming with a very comfortable bed. The location is excellent. We walked to many points of interest. The owner was very responsive to my email inquiries.
