What is important to me, in this street, is naturally the Montbazon Hôtel. Because of the insignificant detail, that the deputy of my area in Touraine is also from there, I mean the town of Montbazon, Lady Marisol Touraine, of whom I already spoke. The street of the Faubourg-Saint-Honoré is located between the Park Monceau and the Champs-Elysées, in Paris. Paulo Coelho, in the Zahir, had a coffee in the prolongation of this street, which has almost a similar name, Street Saint-Honoré. Apartrental rent also a nice one BR in this street. And because I was invited once in Place Beauvau, siege of the Ministère de l'Intérieur (Home office). but personal reasons are not those of history.
In the Middle Age this street was a way which led to the village of the Roule, that became a Faubourg and a district of Paris. Many hotels where built under the reign Louis XIV, a king of high level in the universal search reference.
Number 15 Lived the author of La Marseillaise, french national anthem, Rouget de l'Isles. 17, the uncle of the famous prefect Haussmann. 19, the perfumer Chardin. 29, the Rohan-Montbazon hôtel. 31, the futur King of Naples, Joseph Bonaparte, bought the hotel in 1803. 33, Nathaniel de Rothschild. 41, the baron Edmond de Rothschild then Maurice de Rothschild who rented the hotel to the USA embassy. 47, the new building was inhabited by Maurice Weil, from the Général Saussier Staff, that would be according sources at the origin of the Dreyfus affair. 55, the Palais de L'Elysée that deserves a post.
What else, according to my personal interest? Well, 76, Alfred de Vigny the poet. Born in Loches, in Touraine. 82, Sully Prudhomme, first winner of the Nobel Prize in littérature, who lived at the third floor. 83,The english writer, Thackeray, the Vanity Fair specialist. 85, the famous Revue de Paris. And 96, the Hotel Beauvau who lodged the Algeria office which did not last.
