Everybody knows he is a pioneer in the science fiction genre. Well. But 1984 are behind us and Orwell is dead. Before travelling to Paris en cross the City of Lignt in a beautiful apartment, you did probably went down to the center of the Earth or around it in - how long did the trip last?
Well, in one of my numerous travel deep down to the very center of a supermarket (potatoes, milk), I made a discovery, which is quite normal for a traveller, a journalist like me, war reporter to be: it was a book of Jules Vernes unknown to me. This book, after the refusal of the publisher has been ignored for 130 years, until 1994, ten years after Sir Orwell's master piece.
Do not be afraid. This Paris is supposed to have taken place the 13th of august, 1960. You are safe and ready for a trip.

Paris au XXème siècle, Paris in the 20th century, that's the title. Unfortunately, this Paris is no more in the future. The story begin with a crowd making his way with the tube (it is not said at the beginning if the train is underground) towards the Champ de Mars. A prize is going to be delivered by the General Society of Instructional Credit.
