BORN DISTRICT
El Born is one of the trendiest district in Barcelona and became even more in recent years, combining a perfect balance between historical treasures, culture and the "freshness", a very sought after by residents and and visitors. This region is also home to some of the highest property prices in the city .... This beautiful area is full of many great bars, cafes, restaurants and is particularly important for one of the shops and other well-known clothing brands like Custo.
The area is located near the Old Port and the beach, surrounded by all the other cool and interesting in Barcelona, such as Barrio Gotico Barceloneta, the Old Port and Via Laietana. Ciutadella Park is also 5 minutes of brisk walking in this area, perfect for a long walk, after a nice lunch in one of the many terraces Born has to offer.
A key feature of this great region is the beautiful Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar. The tourists can enjoy stapes and wine and watch the world go by ...
Other items not to be missed is the Paseo del Born, which is full of bars. It is a lively place at night, not far there is the Picasso Museum.
The Born also has its own market in Santa Catarina with its funky, brightly colored roof. And finally, do not forget the wonderful Palais de la Musique, which is perhaps the most dazzling architectural work of modern Barcelona.
