Description :
Located on the 3rd floor of a building that has been recently renovated, this bright and spacious apartment is tastefully decorated in an oriental style and has a stunning view on the place de la Bastille. The lounge room has two double-glazed sound-proof windows that guarantee a peaceful interior and look out on the magnificent column that marks the spot of the infamous prison destroyed after the Revolution. There is an ancient stone wall on one side of the apartment which is divided into two separate areas by Japanese screens: the lounge/dining area and a sleeping area. The lounge room has two oriental style settees that convert quickly and easily into two comfortable single beds. The Zen atmosphere is enhanced by the marble floor, a low table, a lacquer framed mirror and blinds decorated with calligraphy. A small table and bench for two people easily converts into a larger table for four with two extra chairs stored inside the bench. There is also a cable television with DVD player, hi-fi, high-speed Internet connection with WIFI and a telephone. The lounge/dining area is separated from the sleeping area (which has a raised traditional tatami floor) by sliding Japanese screens. In the sleeping area there is a comfortable futon bed (W140 cm) as well as an oriental wardrobe. The modern bathroom is brightly lit by a window that opens onto a courtyard and has beige and black mosaic tiles on the walls and floor. There is a bath with shower, washbasin, mirror, hair dryer and toilet. The modern kitchen has the same marble floor as the lounge room and is equipped with an oven, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, 4 vitro-ceramic hotplates, fume hood, electric kettle, coffee machine, toaster and washing machine. All linen and towels are provided.

The Neighborhood :
Located in the centre of Paris, the Bastille is an area rich in activities that range from music to art to lively nightlife or peaceful waterside promenades. The building is next to the place de la Bastille with its monumental column. In the surrounding streets there are numerous cafés, restaurants and tapas bars open late into the night. The Opéra Bastille is just steps away, as is the Viaduc des Arts with boutiques and workshops covering all kinds of arts, crafts and design. Just on the other side of the place de la Bastille you can enjoy a quiet walk alongside the Port de l’Arsenal where pleasure boats are moored. Only five minutes away is the magnificent place de Vosges and the aristocratic mansions of the Marais that now house museums like the Musée Picasso or the Musée Carnavalet. Finally, only ten minutes walk across the Seine river are the serene l’Île Saint-Louis, the Natural History Museum in the Jardin des Plantes or the Institute du Monde Arabe, a museum with exhibitions on Islamic culture.

Final Payment and security deposit must be paid upon the arrival in cash. For all arrivals/departures after 8 p.m and départures/arrivals before 7 a.m or on Sunday and Public Holidays, you will have a 40 euros extra fee to pay to the person who welcomes you.
