| There is no such great and central place than the exceptional heart of Paris with the cathedral of "Notre dame" that is simply beautiful. The 1 rue du Petit Pont was built at the "intersection" of two roman streets where Cesar armies walked and later on the barbarians. At this time , Paris was called Lutèce. In the middle Age, before " La Sorbonne" was built, students were learning from there teachers, sitting in bowls of straw. It' s also there that the most famous Jazz musicians were meeting after second world war. They were playing in "Caveau de la Huchette", "Trois Mailletz" and many other places . This area is a rich place that will satisfy intellectual , artistic and religious curiosity. ( Churches as" Notre dame", "Saint Julien le Pauvre", "Saint Sulpice"...) You will also find a lot of cafés, restaurants , grossery stores, shops that sometimes stay open late at night. For english speakers, there are incredible book stores with treasures for readers. "Shalespeare and co" is one of the most famous one and is situated at 10 meters from the studio 1 rue du petit Pont. There is no such easy place to find metros( "Saint- michel" and "Maubert Mstualitél , RER( "Saint-michel if you want to go to Versailles or Dysney or any Airports) and buses that will take you anyplace in Paris in less than 30 minutes. |
