Description : 
This is a spacious apartment in the beautiful island of Ile St Louis for 2/3 persons.
The appartment was the one of a wonderful and elegant old person very keen of arts, books, history and music. We kept most of his furnitures in the living room and a good amount of books (and some classic music CD) as you will see but we modernised the kitchen and different other things.
The location has double view (East-West exposure with lot of sunlight) inside private courtyards which render the apartment very calm and quiet – far from the noisy streets of Paris. The apartment is on the third floor and there is a lift. The interior décor is classic Napoleonic (late Empire) style with silk curtains and Burgundy velvet material. The furniture and panelling are in Mahogany and Chestnut wood. Original drawings, aquarelles, paintings and miniatures adorn the walls. The spacious living room has a large sofa space and a large mahogany library on the other end – it is fitted with all the modern day luxuries including a little flat-screen colour TV with international channels. There is also a Broadband Internet connection WIFI.
The kitchen is modern and fully-equipped with gas cooking range, traditional oven, microwave oven, coffee machine, dishwasher, toaster, etc. Sufficient dishes and glasses are provided for a family of 5. The dining area in the kitchen has a designer dining table.
The bedroom has a luxury Queen-size bed.
There is a convenient washing machine and a dishwasher.
The bathroom has ceramic mosaic tiling in Italian marble paint style. There is a confortable bathtub and shower.
A telephone is provided for receiving calls and making local phone calls.
The Neighborhood : 
Being in such a vantage position, Notre Dame Cathedral, the latin Quarter and the old Ile de la Cité are just a few steps away from this apartment.
On the other side, the Marais quarter, the Palais Royal, the Louvre and the rue de Rivoli (shopping area) are just a short walk or 3 subway stations away.
The Ile St Louis is a very posh location where celebrities and old french families have their residences. This is also a true Parisian location with lively restaurants & cafés and grocery stores.
The Ile Saint Louis is also a quick walk, about 15 minutes, to Beaubourg and Picasso's Museum, and an 8 minutes walk to the IMA, Boulevard Saint Germain. The Latin Quarter (student and very posh place) of Saint Germain, Odeon, Saint Sulpice, Luxembourg... is only half an hour with the 63 bus.
