| The nearest metro station is Charles de Gaulles - Etoile. This district has a double personality: on one hand you’ll find a part of Paris dominated by the wonderful Champs Elysées and its famous boutiques which is one of the most touristic places in Paris; on the other hand, if you continue heading to the Church of la Madeleine, you will discover a more peaceful part of Paris with buildings from the 19th century, mostly offices, and a lunch meeting point for businessmen. You’ll find many shops, hotels, financial institutions. It's also a place of power (it includes the Palais de l'Elysee and the Ministry of Interior). The main sites to visit are: the Arc de Triomphe, the Parc Monceau, the Cernuschi Museum, the Jeu de Paume, the Grand Palais, the Palais of the discovery, the Petit Palais and its gardens, the Nissim de Camondo museum, the Jacquemart-Andre Museum, and later show: the Rond-Point theatre, the Marigny theatre, the theatre of Mathurins, the Madeleine theatre and many cabarets like the Lido or the Crazy Horse Saloon. |
