Carnavalet Museum is a museum of Paris’s history, located at number 23 rue de Sevigné, Marais area, that exhibits objects about the city since the beginning to today, especially about the French Revolution period.
Carnavalet museum has two buildings: the palace Carnavalet and palace Pelletier de Saint-Fargeau. Two buildings are connected by a gallery above the second floor.
The museum has around 2,600 paintings, 20,000 drawings, 300,000 engravings, 150,000 photographs, and 2,000 sculptures, portraying everything from everyday life across the ages, to the Revolution.

Entry to the museum is free of charge. Opening hours are 10am to 6pm - the museum is closed on Mondays.
