The Comédie Française (French Comedy) and the Palais-Royal

Founded in 1680, the Théâtre-Français (the French Comedie) is since 1799 is in the heart of the Palais-Royal at the junction of the rue de Rivoli and the rue de Richelieu. Only State Theater in France which has a permanent company of actors, the comedy's patron saint best known playwrights died years after the creation of the "house of Molière". The street is named after the famous cardinal of Louis XIII.
