This lovely 100 square meter, 3-bedroom, two-bath apartment is located in the 4th arrondissement, on the 4rd French floor of a 19th-century building and it sleeps 5 people. This apartment is equipped with : Washer/dryer combo, Dishwasher, Unlimited high speed Internet access, Phone, Stereo, Cable TV.
ENTRANCE
The 5 square meter entrance leads directly to the living/Dining/Kitchen area, third bedroom, second bathroom and a toilet. Here is the first taste of the gleaming hard-wood floors found throughout the apartment, reflected by a 19th century mirror and lit by an antique british luster.
BUILDING
This secure 19th century 4th-floor walk-up building is quite safe, with a security code and intercom system, not to mention high-security doors and keys. The building also has a concierge. The stairs themselves are easy to climb, low, with all the 19th-century polished, shiny wood, brass fixtures and large windows on each landing, plants and furniture; one might also feel as if its the staircase of a private home.
LIVING/DINING/KITCHEN AREA
This large lofty living/dining room area is directly connected to the large American kitchen and mezzanine, the whole area coming to about 65 square meters. It has two windows facing the calm rue des Tournelles, with a view over the Marais rooftops and skyline, as well as large skylights over the mezzanine. A small winding staircase leads to the mezzanine, creatively cradled in the open beams. The mezzanine is the TV area, with a large cable TV, love seat, lamps, tables and chairs. The lower part of the living area has the large sofa, art-deco chairs, a renaissance fireplace, a glass table and 6 chairs, coffee table, end tables and chairs. Built-in closets are strategically placed throughout the apartment, including the living area, and warm carpets adorn the hard-wood floors.
The kitchen itself is open upon the living area, with high wicker and iron stools, in front of the three-meter long bar, making for a convivial atmosphere for the gourmet cook, as guests can gather around and have a drink while waiting for their meal, and the cook himself has company. The kitchen is about 5 square meters, and of course is fully equipped, with microwave/oven combo, dish washer, toaster, coffee maker, large refrigerator and freezer, and 4 vitro-ceramic burners covered by an extractor hood. You also find the cloths washer/dryer combo in the kitchen. The flooring is hard-wood, like all of the apartment except bedrooms two and three. Of course all kitchen utensils are included as well as lots of cupboard space.
BEDROOM #1
The spacious 15 square meter master bedroom has a window, like the living area, facing the calm rue des Tournelles, with the same open view on the Paris rooftops and the same floods of light throughout the day. It is contiguous to the living room, and is furnished with a king-size bed, end tables, lamps, a desk, chest of drawers and mirror; many of these furnishings are antiques. It also has a full wall of closet space and “pointe de Hongrie” hard-wood floors.
BEDROOM #2
The 10 square meter second bedroom is furnished with two twin beds, plenty of closet space, built-in shelves, end table with lamp, and a window on the courtyard but that allows for plenty of light. This room is also right next to the master bathroom. It also has an antique mirror and iron chair.
BEDROOM #3
The cozy 6 square meters third bedroom is just off the entrance and has one single bed, end table with lamp, antique mirror and antique desk, iron chair, and is contiguous to the second bathroom. It too has a large window on the courtyard with allows floods of light.
BATHROOM #1
The 3 square meter master bathroom is contiguous to the second bedroom and the living room. It is lovely, with lots of light allowed by a window on the courtyard, and ruddy, white-streeked marble tile on the floor and wall, two sinks, a large bathtub with a showerhead, as well as a toilet. It also has a towel heater and cupboard space.
BATHROOM #2
The 2 square meter second bathroom is contiguous to the third bedroom, and is light with a small window, sink, large shower, in mint-green tile on the floor and wall.
A one square meter separate toilet is also off the entrance area, and has a sink, built-in shelves and an antique mirror.

This apartment is located a minute’s walk from the place des Voges. The older parts of the Marais being nearer to the Bastille, the inhabitant will find majestic 16th and 17th century town manor houses, lofty hidden streets and courtyards, a real treat for the scenic treasure-hunter.
The apartment itself is located on the extremely quiet rue des Tournelles, with a supermarket around the corner and the St. Paul market squaure just down the street, where you can find bakery, butcher, other supermarkets, and cafés.
